FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What kind of DNA test does Sure Match DNA offer for paternity?
We specialize in buccal swab paternity tests, which means we collect DNA by gently swabbing the inside of the cheek. It’s fast, painless, and just as accurate as a blood test.

2. How accurate is a DNA paternity test?
Our tests are over 99.99% accurate when confirming paternity. We only work with AABB-accredited laboratories, which are held to the highest national standards for DNA testing.

3. What is a buccal swab, and is it reliable?
A buccal swab is a soft cotton-like swab that collects cells from the inside of your cheek. It’s safe, non-invasive, and extremely reliable for DNA testing.

4. How long does it take to get results?
We will keep you informed about the status of your test, but we cannot guarantee result returns. Depending upon the test, results can be available in as early as three (3) days from submission. Sure Match DNA makes no guarantees as to the return of results.

5. Is this test court-admissible?
Yes — if you request a legal DNA test, we follow strict chain-of-custody procedures, including ID verification and documentation. These results can be used for court cases, involving paternity, child support, heirship, or custody.

6. Can I use this test just for peace of mind?
Absolutely! Many of our clients simply want personal answers. Our non-legal, informational, peace-of-mind tests are private, confidential, and just as accurate — but not valid for legal purposes.

7. Who needs to be tested for a paternity test?
Ideally, the alleged father and child should both be tested. While the mother’s DNA can help strengthen the results, it’s not required in most cases.

8. How is my privacy protected?
At Sure Match DNA, confidentiality is our top priority. Your personal information and test results are kept strictly private. We never release information without your written consent.

9. Do you test babies or young children?
Yes! Our cheek swab method is gentle and completely safe for newborns, infants, and children. It only takes a few seconds and are completely painless.

10. Where is my DNA test processed?

All DNA samples are sent to our partner labs, which are AABB-accredited — the gold standard in the industry. This ensures your test is handled with expert care and the highest level of accuracy.

11. Why is it so expensive?
We are partnered with the best DNA testing laboratory in the world. Our tests are 100% accurate 100% of the time.

12. Do you do blood DNA test?
The only way we do blood DNA test is when we conduct a non-invasive prenatal test, which means the baby is still inside the mom’s belly. Non-invasive prenatal tests require a simple blood test of the mother.

13. Can I come pick up the testing kit?
All home kits will be shipped directly to you.

14. Do you take insurance?
Paternity tests are not medically necessary and therefore not covered by insurance.

15. Can this test be used Court?
Yes, as long as you submit a sample using our legal DNA test it will be court admissible which means you can use it in court anytime after you receive the results.

16. Can we get a refund?
All sales are final.

17. Is it possible to get the test done without the other person knowing?
No. We operate with full transparency and will not condone or ratify covert testing. All testers are required to present identification and other required documentation at the time of testing. Sure Match DNA operates with strict confidentiality and compassion.
